| Physical Description | About average height, and of wiry build, Aikawa has the look of a woman who rarely emotes. Her blue eyes come from the fact that a lot of people from her world, and in Shin Yokohama in particular, have blue eyes. Aikawa, at first, does not stand out in a crowd, but when she starts to speak, she gains attention, and it is this trait she was forced to learn in command. |

| General Overview | Aikawa is known for being taciturn, but came up to Chief of Staff via service - and was forced to move into Command after injuries severe enough to put her out of commission were inflicted. She rose through Command ranks by being quietly competent at her role, and adept at navigating the currents and building a consensus for Starfleet to present to her superiors. However, those who know her know she cares, but often prefers to reserve words for when it matters, instead of acting quietly. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Aikawa's greatest strength, caring for junior officers and acting as an advocate for their welfare, has sometimes been her weakness, as it leads her to be a bit wary when it takes to committing on lower risk actions. In addition, having served during the Cardassian and Dominion Wars, she is considerably more wary of the empire, and often has to work to overcome a bias against both entities. This means she is also likely to push for more militarism in Starfleet, although very moderatly, mostly in the sense of preparedness and training, rather than a more militaristic policy stance. |

| Hobbies & Interests | Aikawa has done a considerable amount of caligraphy in traditional Japanese wallscrolls, and prefers to read hardcopy rather than by papercopy. She also works on advancing some forms of training in the Academy, and has sometimes pushed advocacy for midshipman roles for individual cadets to be put on ships to give them more information as to what serving in a vessel is like. |
| Personal History | Mori Aikawa was born in Shin Yokohama, on the world of Phi Pheonicis IV in 2327. She joined Starfleet at the age of 18, after realizing that she had no desire to serve in the police force on her world, but wanting to help others. By 2362, she was serving as Commander on the ship USS Musashi, an Ambasador-class starship. When the captain was killed during a routine away mission, she was named Captain and continued to serve as CO for 12 years, eventually becoming the CO of the Task Force around her ship during the Dominion War, until the First Battle of Chin'toka, and her ship was destroyed. Shortly before the start of the war, in 2365, she married her wife, a noted academic in the field of Exophilosophy, also from Phi Pheonicis IV. Severely injured in First Chin'toka, she opted to join the Strategic Command division of Starfleet once she recovered and rose through the ranks after the Dominion War. Eventually, she began to work for the Chief of Staff's office, after her ability to synthesize and build a consensus view was noticed. |
