Personal History tr'Lito grew up the son of a venerated Galae Commander, a hero of the Dominion War who reclaimed several Romulan worlds from Dominion occupation. He was killed in battle during a recent insurrection after the USS Enterprise invaded Romulan space, creating some upheaval with the Remans which had some lasting effects on the Empire, very few outsiders understanding such. It left his mother a widow, but a popular one in Romulan social circles.

Unlike his father, he decided not to take a military course with his life, pursuing academics, study, and then civics as he learned about international relations, working as an aide and attache to several Rihannsu diplomatic efforts over the years. He was studious, observant, and careful to maintain good relations with everyone he came across, as he saw the way the senate acted and reacted, and he wanted to be among their ranks one day.

His mother understood his ambitions, and on the homefront, made good contacts among the Rihannsu elites. The work tr'Lito accomplished was seen, but he kept getting passed up for the bigger ambassadorial jobs because of higher born Rihannsu having better connections to get the posts.

Once the bombing occurred at the Federation embassy, a place where the Rihannsu didn't much respect to begin with because of so much animosity between the two cultures over the years, a new position opened up, and many of the more prestigious ambassadors didn't want the job. tr'Lito finally got the call up to work and he accepted immediately, viewing the role as a stepping stone. It could be a dangerous place, given the recent occurrences, he was certain he could navigate the treacherous Federation waters. He was green in terms of this new role, but had worked under ambassadors long enough where he was confident in his job abilities anyway.
