Personality & Traits
General Overview | Ovrora embodies the Shakespeare quote “Though she be but little, she is fierce.” She is small for an Andorian and makes up for it with a lot of self confidence, sometimes bordering on arrogance. Unlike many lower ranked officers she assumes she has a right to be in any room she is in. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, an element of Andorian society for which family (and close ties) are of the highest value. If she considers you her friend she will have your back and would sacrifice for you in the same way she would family. There are no relationships between acquaintances and “do you need me to bury that body for you”. | |
Hobbies & Interests | Ovrora enjoys a number of different hobbies. Before joining Starfleet she was an avid sailor, learning to sail ice-cutters from an early age. Her enjoyment of this hobby, and the ability to travel throughout Andoria on such a vessel is what sparked her interest in traveling offworld in search of newer and more exotic places and experiences. As is the case with many Andorians, Ovrora is very proud of her martial prowess, and considers hand to hand combat with the ushaan-tor to be an enjoyable pastime. She takes this hobby particularly seriously because of the role played by the ushaan-tor in the Andorian tradition of Ushaan, but also has a particular delight in the physicality of this fighting style. If asked she will gladly talk your ear off about how being adept at the ushaan-tor can prepare any truly effective fighter for hand to hand combat with nearly any type of blade. Ovrora is a novice player of the flabbjellah. Though she doesn’t often play the instrument it has a nostalgic meaning to her and when homesick she may pick it up to play lullabies from her childhood. She also takes a deep interest in the star mythologies of other cultures, interested mostly in understanding how her professional area of focus has been interpreted by cultures throughout the universe. |
