| General Overview | Augie can be considered quirky by many who know him. He is utterly fascinated by new discoveries and often gets a childlike gleam in his eye when someone is discussing their work with a passion. The gleam is also there when he talks of stellar mechanics and several engineering topics. When in a crunch, Augie's gleam sharpens. He prefers to have all options laid out before him when choosing a course of action, and wants everyone in his commands to be heard. He is often a good listener, and has been the confidant to many other officers throughout his career. | |

| Personal History | Augie was born in North America on Earth in 2254 in the city of Evanston, just north of Chicago. His father was an El-Aurian scientist enamored with the cultures of Earth, and his Mother was a Federation diplomat. Their jobs often took them away from Augie, sometimes one at a time, sometimes at the same time, but they always came back and showered him with love and gifts from their travels. His mother had a large family that he often lived with while his parents were away. In school, Augie often participated in sports and clubs that he was interested in. He excelled in soccer and swimming, and was also in the engineering and martial arts clubs. From a young age, Augie had an incurable curiosity that led him equally into trouble and led him to 'discovering' new things. After graduating from primary school he enlisted in Starfleet. His scores upon enlisting let him get a crewman berth as an engineer, and after training he went aboard the USS Centaur as his first cruise. Augie spent several years aboard, working diligently in Engineering and earning several commendations and promotions to the rank of Petty Officer First Class. His Chief finally succeeded in pushing him to attend Starfleet Academy, which took him off of the Centaur and brought him back home to Earth. At the Academy, Augie took courses that crossed between Engineering and Science, though he graduated formally as an Engineer. During his time there he learned to pilot shuttle craft, though he was never the best he still loved it thoroughly. |

He earned promotions up to the rank of Petty Officer First Class. 2280 - 2284: Augie attended Starfleet Academy, earning distinctions in classes in both the Engineering and Science tracks. Graduated formally from the Engineering track. 2284 - 2290: Assigned to Deep Space 6 as an engineer. Starting off as an Ensign, he finally was reassigned in 2290 as a Lieutenant. 2290 - 2293: Assigned to USS Excelsior in Engineering. Following the destruction of the Klingon moon Praxis, he was reassigned. 2293 - 2297: Assigned to a logistics division of Starfleet Command rumored to be associated with Starfleet Intelligence. 2297 - 2301: Assigned as Assistant Chief Engineer aboard USS Kamigawa. Promoted to Chief Engineer following the retirement of Commander Alistair Johnson. 2302 - 2310: Assigned as first officer of the USS Morningstar. 2311 - 2314: Assigned to Starfleet Command as an attache to Admiral M'Rowl of the Corps of Engineers. 2314 - 2322: Assigned to Starfleet Command as an advisor to Admiral Studabecker of Starfleet Intelligence. 2323 - 2332: Assigned as Commanding Officer of the USS Malinche. Missions largely centered on surveys of Beta Quadrant star systems, though they also included disaster relief operations. 2333 - 2340: Assigned to Starfleet Intelligence. Missions undertaken are still classified. 2340 - 2345: Extended leave from Starfleet upon the death of his mother. Augie and his Father recorded as travelling to several systems throughout the Federation together. 2346 - 2350: Assigned as Commanding Officer of the USS Diadem as a Corps of Engineers ship. Missions included many disaster relief and infrastructure updates throughout the Alpha and Beta quadrants. 2351 - 2356: Assigned to Starfleet Academy as an Engineer Instructor.
